I graduated nursing school in 2009 and a few friends thought it would be a good time to try Bikram yoga for the first time. We did a 7 day challenge. It was hard, but something about the heat got me relaxed, rejuvenated, reenergized and hooked. Moving my body reminded me of my younger days in ballet class and it was the closest exercise that challenged both my strength and my flexibility at the same time. Working as a nurse in the cardiovascular ICU, and taking care of sick patients after heart surgery turned a lightbulb on... if only more people would do yoga, we could prevent most heart disease. I graduated Teacher Training Dec 2015 and have been grateful to guide the 26/2 sequence to every new and seasoned yogi. Remember your health is an investment and not an expense!
